The only part that looked colored for me was most parts of the island. They looked light green but everything else appeared colorless.
The 'T' in the word often is silent. Otherwise, you kill me with your gigantic brain! Howdy, fromTexas btw!!! I know…!
Amazing
sorry. on a crappie tablet. it's evolution, your brain developed a method to make it see a death or life situation.
I think it's a evolution. gives the drain a split second to see if it life or death situation.

CRINGE!!!
One question….. TAKE MAH MONEH AND GIVE IT! <3
What! Couldn't believe the color change. So cool
Wow this was amazing
isn't the reason our eyes have visual "inertia" just because of the bright light and our pupils dialating? if our pupils dialated immediately when we didn't see the light it would have no affect. just like how after turning off a bright light we are still left with the image of the light for a couple milliseconds.
me no color
I can tell you what is happening, when you flick it from inverted colour, to black & White. Its called Neuro Synthesia. Your unconscious learned brain 1] Knows a generalisation of colour to particular natural forms, like grass, rock, water, sea, sky. And automatically fills in anomalies when they happen. Like your blind spot. 2] Your unconscious brain knows oppositions, in many things, like colour, geometry, form. So when you replace an invert colour with black and white, you brain will automate an approximation of what a natural form of colour should be. This is demonstrated perfectly with your lighthouse on the mountain. Because your inverted colour photo, was of the full colour photo, not the black an white version. But when you flicked the inverted colour to black & White, Only base colours [as explained in 1] ] appeared and only at 50% transparency, which is the exact same transparency of imagery and colour your brain produces when day dreaming, Not the full mixed spectrum. Only once you show the full colour picture, does your become immediately and consciously aware of the colours it missed without even thinking about that anomaly, cause it does it itself. Your question is it the eyes doing this or your brain, is a silly question. You eyes only collect information, your Brain processes it. Though your eyes will only take in information the same speed your brain processes it, that is your delay. But that can counteracted. Morphine or Adrenaline can exponentially speed up your neurons 10 fold. The faster your neurons are activating, the more information they collect. Being frightened speeds up your neurons, and your brain can remember a lot more than it usually would. This can also make time literally feel like it is slowing down.
Oh wow!!!!
Very cool vid. Explaining what few even realise that something extradinorney is happening..
Then shown the science and Why..
Nice
now does this work with the flicker we see when a video camera captures a TV screen??? or is that something completely different?
Here's the cool thing: when the image is inverted ( reverted ), move your eyes from the light house and quickly focus on lighthouse again. You should notice that when you move your eyes away you see black-white image, but when you focus on lighthouse – you see colors again :P
I just noticed you have an Olan Rogers t-shirt!
If I don't believe my eyes am not aloud to believe
Awesome illusion at the start. Very cool.
I wish I could click the like button for many many times. Thank you for sharing knowledge. Greetings from Brazil.
You wanna bet I can't find it on youtube?
8:15 well actually you won't see flickering of the image but you will definitely be able to tell and see each frame individually. This is because lcd monitors work by updating what needs to be updated and keeping everything else the same. You would notice something like flickering with a crt monitor however, but the image would never fully disappear because with a crt monitor it just update as a band going down so you would see part of the image as a lot darker and the other parts as regular brightness
I'm watching this on an iPod so I can invert the colors myself and look at the non inverted beauty of the island.
