Why a matte foundation ??
my problem is liquid foundation goes right inside pores so you see my pores more. I use powder instead but it dries my skin, there is no happy medium. What is the best liquid foundation to use that doesn't set into my pores?
I thought a Dewey foundation was best they taught me throw the compact powder away!
Clip the hair back first, that would be a good start, as she also got some primer on the woman's face, I was watching.

This model did look better. There are concealers made for 50+ that have a lighter powdery formula so it doesn't melt into wrinkles. Personally when i use matte I try to use a creamier primer. MAC face and Body foundation gives you the dewy look without the oil

Just read some of the comments and shame on the people whom were unkind to you and may they continue to use their dewy foundation letting it settle into your lines with that unbeautiful shiny face.
I am 53 yo and I only use matte foundation. Your video was informative but I wish you would have either told us the foundation you used or give us some options. Good job!
That's funny because I just watched a video on this subject that said powder i.e. bare minerals is aging for women over 50! No wonder women are confused. There are so many contradictions from experts.

I would never wear a all matte Foundation and I'm 45 almost 46. It doesn't make my skin look natural.
I'm 50 and I have still got oily skin. I wear illuminator with my primer as matt aint flattering. A glow is essential when you go past 50! This youngster will know exactly what I mean when she hits 50! Murad keeps my t zone matt for hours. A God send!
This is a very heavy caked on look. Yes wrinkles are hidden but you see makeup instead especially as you get closer. This is the very look I'm trying to get away from.
